Patía is an artist, writer and linguist. She currently lives and works in Düsseldorf / Wuppertal, Germany and Falun, Sweden.

She hails from a Cantonese family in the Gvangjsih Autonomous Region of South China, a tropical area rich in ethnic diversity. From 2015 to 2022, she studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf Art Academy), Germany. 2019 she was nominated by professor Herbert Brandl as Meisterschülerin. 2022 she graduated from the academy, of the class of professor Sabrina Fritsch. Her preferred medium is paper, and her art primarily consists of drawings and prints. With strong inspiration from photography, light plays a significant role in many of her pieces.

In addition to her visual art, the artist also writes poetry and stories and translates various materials into her native languages. As a linguist, she collaborates with colleagues on projects such as language revitalisation and normalisation. Thanks to the rich diversity of ethnicities and languages in her home region, she speaks six languages and is continually learning more.
